I’ve got both, but that’s alright. [Grabs up a couple bowls and plates along with two sets of silverware, silently setting the table - and refusing to look up at Chase the entire time. Answers him after a very long, uncomfortable silence.]
… Not a lot, really. Just waiting on the desks. I’ll wash the windows when it gets closer to the start of semester. [Finishes setting the table and goes back to retrieve some glasses and a carton of milk.] I’m working on a curriculum in the meantime. That’s what I was doing when you came in.
Ah— well, good to know. [Watches him from across the room, feigning to look around the building as he walks by and begins setting the table - and sighing with some frustration as the silence lingers.] Hm…
[Noticeably turns his attention to him when he talks, blinking with a slow nod at his answer.] Hm— you’re further along than I thought, then. [Turns his attention to pulling the lid off, picking up the first plate and spooning it out with a neat motion.] When are you planning on opening? I mean, to have a curriculum already started, don’t most classes start in the Fall? [Sets the plate down on Gill’s side and picks up his own - taking noticeably less for himself before setting it back down and resting the lid back on top.] Or figuring the sooner the better?
